The Michigan Court of Appeals ruled Friday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s name should be removed from the ballot.
But Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced she plans to appeal that ruling to the Michigan Supreme Court where the Democratic-appointed judges have a 4-3 edge.
Why should it matter?
Pollster Ed Sarpolus said Friday on Deadline Detroit's podcast, "The Week That Was," that keeping RFK Jr.'s name on the ballot could take votes from Trump.
"A 1 percent take away from Trump could impact what's going to happen in Michigan," he said.
RFK Jr. has officially endorsed Trump and his website now reads:
"A VOTE FOR TRUMP IS A VOTE FOR KENNEDY."
